The live game is still Alpha 4.10.2, deployed October 9, 2026 (RSI Discovery Month). Alpha 4.10.3 is on the Public Test Universe only. Alpha 4.11 has no release date. A roadmap card can move, and a ship file in the test client can be cut before release.
Alpha 4.10.3, in the PTU
Alpha 4.10.3 is the next small patch after 4.10.2. The October 21 Roadmap Roundup added an Intersec Defence Solutions mission pack in Nyx: more contracts against the Vanduul, plus blueprints. The Star Citizen Wiki lists that card under 4.10.3.
RSI put that work on the PTU in late October. Wave 1 opened October 23 on build 4.10.3-PTU.12999338. On October 30, RSI opened 4.10.3 to all PTU waves on build 4.10.3-PTU.13055118. A later all-backers build, 4.10.3-PTU.13093654, is on the November 3 patch notes. It is still the PTU, not the live game, and RSI has not given a live date.
What changed in the October 30 all-waves build
Build 4.10.3-PTU.13055118 included the changes below. A newer build is already on the PTU, so these numbers can change.
- Quantum travel to Shattered Blade Raid locations works.
- Incursion contracts award their blueprint rewards.
- Skarnov energy damage goes from 10 to 30 per shot in those notes. That is a PTU number.
IAE 2956 leaks: fan trackers expect November 13 to 30 at New Babbage (unofficial). See the IAE 2026 page.
Testers on that PTU are running:
- Vanduul Incursion contracts from Intersec, set in deep space around Nyx rather than the existing stations. The beats include clearing Shattered Blade auxiliary sites, boarding a seized ship, surviving waves of Vanduul ships, and at least one fight with three sides.
- Those fights include Vanduul Blade, Glaive, Scythe, and Stinger. On the live game, most of the line is meant to require the Vanduul Tech Smugglers work in Welcome to Nyx. The PTU skips that requirement so testers can reach every contract. Expect the live version to put the requirement back.
- A second Vanduul cryopod. Players do not yet agree which tint is the valuable one.
- Harder tiers pay blueprints: an energy rifle, armor, a flight suit, and ship weapons. The exact blueprint names can still change.
- The Lightning Bolt Co. Skarnov, an energy rifle with single and automatic fire. Shots arc between nearby targets. PTU shops stock it, including Cubby Blast at Area18. Those shops are for the test. The 4.11 roadmap still lists the Skarnov as well.
Vanduul Hunter, from a datamine
CIG has not announced this ship. On October 23, 2026, a datamine on r/starcitizen found a 4.10.3 contract whose fourth mission was still redacted: a rank 4 to 6 fight through Vanduul waves until something larger arrives, across five difficulty tiers. The same files include a ship named Vanduul Hunter, classed as a corvette, about 420 meters long, 124 meters wide, and 98 meters tall, with a listed crew of 35. The poster compares it to the Vanduul Mauler and thinks it is that redacted target. CIG has not confirmed the name, the size, or the guns.
Alpha 4.11
RSI has not given Alpha 4.11 a release date. The roadmap currently assigns the items below to 4.11. The Star Citizen Wiki collects those cards. Any of them can move to a later patch.
Genesis, the tech
- Starchitect. Places sectors, clusters, and locations from Genesis data and builds those locations out of modular tiles.
- Planet Tech v5. A rework of how planets are built and drawn: biomes driven by physical properties, plants and rocks scattered by how they actually grow, new terrain shading, and more of the generation work moved to the GPU.
- Population Manager. Spreads server population and spawns inhabitants that fit the local area.
- Item Recovery, ship loadouts. Claims that keep a custom loadout, with a timer, an optional expedite fee, freight-elevator item claims, and a free recovery when the loss was outside the player's control.
Nyx I, II, and III
The October 9 Roadmap Roundup posted new images for these three planets:
- Nyx I. Coreless planet closest to the star. Lore says Genesis Terraforming gave it an ecosphere after it had been written off.
- Nyx II. Hot, high-pressure, thick cloud. Protective gear. Almost no commercial development.
- Nyx III. Ice giant, no breathable atmosphere, a poor candidate for large-scale extraction.
The same October 9 note set DGS Planet Subdivision to Tentative. The card splits a planet or moon into territories so one dynamic game server is not responsible for the whole body. Nyx I is named as the first planet to use it. Tentative means it can miss 4.11.
Also assigned to 4.11: Starchitect points of interest (faction sites built from procedural building sets, used by sandbox missions), a Starchitect mission pack meant to keep players on the ground longer, heavy combat armor called Monolith, and a Wikelo reward ship, an Aegis Tiburon with a unique livery and upgraded components. Weapons on that list besides the Skarnov: Kastak Arms Verdict LMG, Kastak Arms Hellion pistol, and the Associated Science and Development Model-K2 DMR.
Speculation
RSI has not announced any of the following.
- 4.11 misses IAE and lands in December. Late-October videos (BoredGamer, Space Tomato, and others) expect CIG to hold Planet Tech v5 until after the expo. RSI has not said December. IAE 2026 dates are unannounced too. Do not book a Free Fly around a rumor. IAE 2955 ran November 20 through December 3, 2025, which is last year's pattern, not this year's schedule.
- IAE halls, October 28. Evocati testers have been walking a New Babbage exhibition build. Flight-ready RSI ships are on the floor, including the Ursa, Zeus Mk II, Aurora, Hermes, Centaurus, and Skylark. An empty hologram by the entrance is being assigned to the Kraken, the Banu Merchantman, or the Arrastra. RSI has not published the manufacturer list, and a hall layout can still change. Dates are on the IAE 2026 page.
- Galaxy and Liberator. The September 2026 monthly report has the RSI Galaxy in LOD0 and the Anvil Liberator through greybox. People watching that report expect the Galaxy at this IAE. The Liberator is the one they think can slip into December or January if it misses the expo. RSI has not named a patch for either ship.
- Banu Merchantman in 2027. Not this year's expo. The same hall build has a second, separate Banu hologram by the elevators, which videos on October 28 (itsJoJo, STARJUMP) tie to IAE 2027. They compare it to the Kraken hologram shown before a later event. John Crewe has said the Merchantman may enter pre-production in 2026, which is a maybe, not a delivery year. A flyable Merchantman also needs its shop floors. RSI has not given the ship a year.
- MFC and Auxilia missing the halls. Testers saw a Centurion where the Anvil Auxilia had been expected, and an MDC where the Greycat MFC had been expected. The reading is that both crafting vehicles miss this IAE because the crafting gameplay is not ready. RSI has not put either hull on the 4.11 roadmap.
- Unnamed hulls in the halls. The same walk reported a Drake fighter called the Marauder, and an empty alien-hall pad about the size of a Prowler for a new Gatac ship, sometimes called the Hune. RSI has not named either.
- No wipe yet. As of October 28 there is no published wipe for 4.10.3 or 4.11. CIG still wipes when a patch needs it. Wait for the note instead of moving cargo the night before a rumor.
- Squadron 42 is not this patch. The campaign's published window is still Q2 2027 on Steam. A persistent-universe leak does not move that date. Details are on the Squadron 42 page.
